My heartfelt congratulations to Small Free Library and Timeless Amritsar for launching this much-needed initiative to foster a love for reading in Amritsar.

When I learned that a Small Free Library had been set up in one of the city’s most popular cafes, Café Delhi Heights, I was overjoyed.
This initiative not only encourages book reading as a fulfilling hobby but also strengthens the book industry by making literature more accessible to everyone.
A Simple Yet Powerful Concept
What makes this concept truly brilliant is its simplicity and efficiency. Anyone can participate—just bring a book, place it in the library, and take another in exchange. This creates a dynamic reading ecosystem, ensuring fresh titles are always available.
The Joy of Discovering Books
There is an undeniable charm in visiting a library—browsing through titles, reading back covers, and discovering new worlds and ideas. Now, rather than purchasing a new book, readers can simply swap one at the library, making literature more sustainable and community-driven.
Supporting Local Writers and Voices

One of the aspects I deeply admire about this initiative is its support for local authors. By integrating a library into a frequently visited space like Café Delhi Heights, known for its inviting atmosphere, the project naturally attracts both locals and tourists.
For book lovers traveling from different regions or countries, this initiative provides a valuable opportunity to discover and engage with regional literature. It amplifies unique voices and gives local authors the visibility they deserve.
A Perfect Blend of Books and Café Culture
The aesthetic charm of the book cabinet blends seamlessly with the café’s setting, making it even more inviting. Imagine stepping into the café, ordering a cup of coffee or a slice of cheesecake, and leisurely browsing through the bookshelves—an experience that beautifully promotes solo reading.
There is no greater pleasure in reading than the solitary solace one finds in the quiet company of a book. This initiative will undoubtedly enrich that experience.
Over Breakfast – A Book Club Joins the Movement
At Over Breakfast – A Book Club, we are dedicated to cultivating a reading culture through informative workshops, daily reading projects, and writing skill-building sessions. We are honored that our name has been acknowledged as part of this library, and this recognition encourages us to engage even more actively.
We look forward to frequenting this space, contributing more books, and collaborating on future literary endeavors to strengthen this initiative.
A Step Toward a More Vibrant Literary Hub
Once again, my sincere congratulations to Small Free Library and Timeless Amritsar for this remarkable step toward making Amritsar a more vibrant literary hub. I look forward to seeing its impact grow and flourish in the years to come.
